With so many hits already in the bank, you could understand if Bruno Mars wanted to cash in some of his chart-busting power, and experiment with an abstract electronica album or indulge in some secret, long-held love for Mongolian folk music.

But no, Bruno just wants to bring the club-ready bangers. And that’s exactly what his new single “24K Magic” is.

Two years after Mars assisted Mark Ronson with the irresistible (and inescapable) “Uptown Funk,” the Hawaiian is back with a brand new track that splices the Friday-night baller spirit of that record-setting No. 1 with a touch of ’90s hip-hop and G-funk.

“You can call it my first single, but I call it an invitation to the party,” Mars wrote earlier in the week on Instagram. You can hear what he means now. The glitzy feel of “24K Magic” is a celebration in and of itself, but the video brings the party to life. Mars is seen with his crew, rolling deep in Las Vegas with a bevy of scantily clad women, while showing off his “Cuban links, designer minks [and] Inglewood’s finest shoes.” It’s Morris Day meeting Snoop Dogg, right down the middle of Sin City’s main strip.

“24K Magic” is the first single from Mars’ third album (also called “24K Magic”), which is due to drop on Nov. 18. If this swaggering first track is any kind of indication, the good times are likely to last well into 2017.
